Vice President of Legal Affairs
Karen Primack serves as the Vice President of Legal Affairs. Ms. Primack’s role includes maintaining the responsibility for the overall leadership, direction, and operation of Legal Affairs for CHI. Her role encompasses oversight of Policies and Procedures, Governmental Regulations, Compliance, Legal Strategy and Risk Mitigation.
Ms. Primack began her career over 25 years ago as a prosecutor in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where she acquired criminal and trial law skills. She then served in a variety of roles within the MTA where she concentrated on labor and employment law. She then served as the Labor Relations Officer for the Fashion Institute of Technology. She most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Bronx District Attorney’s Office. Karen is very grateful to be able to use her legal skills to fulfill CHI’s mission and values.
Ms. Primack holds a Juris Doctorate from the Touro Law Center and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Hofstra University. She has been inducted by the American Arbitration Association as an A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. Fellow to develop diverse arbitrators/mediators. She also holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the Cornell University ILR School. Ms. Primack is married, with two children, and lives in Westchester.
