Paul Thomas

Program Director

Mr. Thomas is an MSW-SIFI (Seminar In Field Instruction) level social worker with extensive experience delivering & managing, leading direct program services including shelter operations, case management and DHS shelter program management. In 2020 during the pandemic, he also worked with shelter re-entry program for Men with serious mental illness coming out of state prisons into New York City Shelters. Mr. Thomas also participates in officiating youth basketball where he helps young athletes on and off the court with life challenges. Prior to joining CHI, he worked in a variety of direct shelter service providers in leadership roles.

Mr. Thomas completed his undergraduate degree at SUNY Oneonta, then went on to Columbia University for his MSW & Fordham University for his SIFI degree.
