Community Housing Innovations (CHI) is a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency that provides education, counseling and grant assistance to eligible first-time homebuyers. Path to Homeownership is an in person presentation that serves as an introduction to the homebuying process.

During the presentation participants will learn about Fair Housing Laws, CHI’s First-Time Homebuyer Grant Program and application process, and the steps involved in purchasing a home. A mortgage lender will explain the components of a mortgage and the mortgage pre-approval process, while a real estate professional will provide valuable information and tips to help you navigate your home search successfully.

Attendance at the orientation is required before submitting a grant application.
